Spotted Blanket, a member of the Chippewa-Cree tribe in Montana, learned how "to talk with his hands" from the old people. This sign talk was good to him because he was a little deaf. He was a kind man who never said anything bad about another person. Making peace pipes and headdresses were favorite times for him.
